As a part of the program, Vertex PharmD Fellows get in-depth exposure to a range of functional areas. In addition to fostering each individual’s personal and professional growth, the program’s primary goal is to extend the visibility of valuable contributions that a Doctor of Pharmacy can bring to the pharmaceutical industry. 

Fellows participate in truly unique, impactful work that develops their skills, sparks curiosity, and drives the science. Vertex’s open and innovative culture allows PharmD Fellows to ask questions, challenge the status quo, and explore their interests across multiple expertise areas.

What you bring:

  • All candidates must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited college of pharmacy by June of the year they are entering the fellowship

What we offer:

  • Two-year post-PharmD fellowship in one of the following areas:

    • Clinical and Quantitative Pharmacology

    • Clinical Scientist

    • Commercial

    • Global Patient Safety

    • Medical Affairs

    • Medical Writing

    • Regulatory Affairs

Application timeline and details

2025 Vertex PharmD Fellows:

  • September 2024: Recruitment process kick-off

  • September - December 2024: Interviews conducted

  • July 2025: Two-year fellowship begins
